DESCRIPTION
CloudWatch Application Signals, launched during reInvent 2023, is a new AWS service in public preview. CloudWatch Application Signals enables customers to automatically instrument their applications on AWS so that they can monitor current application health and track long-term application performance against their business objectives. Application Signals provides customers with a unified, application-centric view of their applications, services, and dependencies, and helps them monitor and triage application health.
The team mission is to delight our customers in helping them operate their applications by providing them a highly available, scalable and secure service that instruments, observes and monitors their applications.
We are looking for engineers who are enthusiastic about giving customers the best experience and are passionate about solving customers' business needs, at AWS scale.
As an experienced engineer on the team, you will work closely with the engineering staff, product managers, and UX designers across the team, as well as interact directly with customers. You will play a key role in defining the technology strategies to our product, and are a technical leader and force-multiplier in the team. You will have the unique opportunity to build, influence, and shape a new AWS service.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $115,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
