About the Area/Department :

Flying is easy, isn't it? You are used to catching planes to fly all around the world. Check in, print your boarding passes, drop your bags, go through the security, then board the plane... it's no rocket science.

We are managing the world leading airline Passenger Servicing System - a system that provides check-in and boarding services to approximately 150 airlines and 1 billion passengers each year.

Is it really that simple? Do you really know how it works behind the scenes? Are you curious to know what it takes to be cleared to fly by the regulatory authorities? Airline use Kiosk at the airport to allow passengers to check-in. With an airport kiosk, passengers can check in for their flights, print boarding passes, and even process luggage check-ins. These self-service kiosks aim to simplify the travel process, reducing wait times and increasing convenience for travellers.

We're looking for enthusiastic Software Engineers to work with our customers to understand their business needs, issues and to propose corresponding solutions and evolutions to our Kiosk application which is part Departure Control System (DCS) product of Customer Management to address these. The role is based at our Bogota development center.

In this role you'll:

Analyze specifications

• Define user requirements for the development of new (or upgrade of existing) software solutions.

Design systems and code

• Design technical solutions and perform feasibility studies.

• Propose viable technical solutions to Product Management and/or users for validation.

• Develop software according to Amadeus standards.

• Model, design and implement databases.

Test and maintain the software

• Conduct unit, package and performance tests and ensure a level of quality in line with the Amadeus guidelines.

• Participate in the validation phase of the product cycle, fine-tuning when necessary to finalize the product.

• Support the customer by debugging existing solutions in collaboration with Product Manager or Product Definition Analyst

Document your work

• Produce software documentation necessary for the application and issue it to the requesting departments.

Technical environment:

• Technologies: JavaScript, React, Java, Spring, OOP

• Database: Oracle and SQL language.

• Cloud: Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Microsoft Azure ecosystem.

• Practices: SAFe, CI/CD, DevOps, FinOps, Automated Testing
