In this role, you have the opportunity to
Join the Philips Ultrasound R&D team and help define the next generation of ultrasound and innovation in the healthcare industry.
You are responsible for
Making a substantial contribution to the innovation of product and process
Develop new products, using the latest technologies and resources, often realizing systems based on unverified specifications
Working under the direction of a senior engineer, you will design, implement and test ultrasound components which integrate with the overall feature design and implementation
These tasks will encompass, as necessary, a broad range of software development disciplines including application, infrastructure, applying complex algorithms, and signal path development
Using software development practices for OOA, designing, implementing, testing and documenting of applications and features for distributed windows applications
You will own the successful delivery of the software components as well as all associated multi-phase software process deliverables including software test and requirements management
Development will be completed in object-oriented C++

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
0-2 years' software development experience which may include internship and/or co-op experience
Knowledge of and/or experience with object-oriented programming languages (e.g. C++, Java), design and coding
Familiarity with embedded system development a plus
Ability to analyze and solve complex problems
Strong desire to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges
Knowledge of software development lifecycle
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interface in a cross-disciplinary manner, including engineers, product managers, and clinical specialists
Self-motivated individual with good organizational and time management skills
