Job Summary

Collaborates with system, test and cybersecurity engineers in the planning, design, development, and deployment of software systems. Follow all program standard software lifecycle processes.

Mentor junior engineering staff; provide detailed, accurate estimates for tasks. Support TEMs and provide technical recommendations to internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required Experience & Education:

  • Position requires 4-9 years' experience with Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

  • Must have strong, hands-on experience with Java/JavaScript development

  • Must possess TS clearance with SCI eligibility and secure coding training and/or certification.

  • Requires strong communications skills and ability to work with all levels of team.

The position is responsible for designing, developing, testing, maintaining and/or deploying business application software or specialized utility programs. Review business needs to develop software solutions. 2. Work with programmers and analysts to code and test software features to provide software enhancements. 3. Analyze, develop, implement and support applications or program components. Suggest improvements for products and processes. 4. Conduct analysis of systems and programs, including performance, diagnosis and troubleshooting of problems. 5. Provide technical leadership and coaching to team members as well as solutions to complex software development problems. 6. Conduct code reviews in accordance with department standards. 7. Create and update documentation throughout the development lifecycle to aid in maintenance and code reuse. 8. Interact with key partners and internal users regarding timelines, technical issues, and infrastructure integration. 9. Develop strong working relationships with managers and analysts. 10. Provide leadership in the design and implementation of an array of applications. 11. Understand and work with data in with varying degrees of complexity and scale. 12. Translate client needs into functional programs that produce desired results. 13. Provide technical guidance on usage of systems. 14. Support systems and operations as needed. Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities: 1. Possess a strong aptitude towards software development for use in automation and interfacing with databases. 2. Advanced knowledge of one or more programming languages. 3. Must be able to work flexible hours on-site and remote. 4. Must be able to work in a complex, dynamic team environment with minimal supervision and possess good organizational skills. 5. Strong interpersonal skills are needed to work well with a talented team of developers. 6. Must be able to coordinate with other staff and provide technological leadership. 7. Fluent in relational database concepts and flat file processing concepts. 8. Ability to understand and work with data in fixed and delimited formats. 9. Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels in the Company and with various business contacts outside of the company in an articulate, professional manner. 10. Ability to organize, prioritize and handle multiple assignments on a daily basis. 11. Ability to be on-call when needed. Education, Experience, and Certification: 1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a technology related area, plus 5 to 7 years of experience in web, data driven or enterprise applications is required. 2. Candidates who possess a Master's degree in Computer Science or a technology related area, plus 3 years of experience in a web, data driven or enterprise application will be considered. 3. 3 years of logical and physical database design is required. 4. Experience using object oriented programming languages is required. 5. Experience using multiple programming languages on diverse platforms is preferred. 6.
