Job Description Job Description The Swift Group is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Developer to join our technology-based program supporting a key Government customer. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in infrastructure automation, cloud-based services, and agile development methodologies.

This role requires collaboration within an engineering team to deliver high-quality solutions. This position is located in the Herndon, VA area. Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef. Perform Eclipse developmental duties and utilize GitHub for version control and collaboration. Work with DevOps tools and frameworks, specializing in Java and Python development.

Conduct security reviews of applications and infrastructure to ensure compliance with industry standards. Participate in agile activities, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, with a focus on continuous improvement. Research and implement new technologies in object-oriented programming to enhance software solutions.

Develop and maintain cloud-based services to support scalable and reliable applications. Collaborate effectively with teammates of varying skill levels within an engineering team environment. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science (preferred). Minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience in software development and infrastructure management. Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.

Experience in Eclipse development, GitHub, and DevOps practices. Solid background in Java and Python programming languages. Demonstrated experience in security review processes for applications and infrastructure. 6 years of experience participating in agile development methodologies.

Hands-on experience with cloud-based services and deployment strategies. Ability to work effectively within a diverse engineering team. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills. US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required Desired Qualifications: Experience with infrastructure automation technologies like Docker, Vagrant, etc.

Familiarity with build automation tools such as Maven and Jenkins. Proficiency in developing APIs and services using REST and SOAP protocols. Experience with scripting languages such as Perl and Shell scripting.

Pay Range: $49,996.80 - $290,004.00 Pay ranges are a general guideline and not intended as a guaranteed and/or implied final compensation or salary for this job opening.
