As a Software Developer within PNC's Enterprise Technology & Security organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA. Remote work will be considered for a well-qualified candidate.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

Experience developing enterprise grade applications using Java

  • Implementation and scaling of Java microservices supporting high volumes

  • Experience with Angular, JavaScript, and/or Python

  • Knowledge of source code management best practices

  • Ability to understand, manage, debug microservices running in containers

  • Experience with DevSecOps and related tools

  • Expertise in building REST APIs, and interfacing with REST APIs, Databases, Event Streaming Platforms, and Cloud Services

  • Focus on business value, security, and performance throughout the development lifecycle

  • Ability to troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise

  • Critical thinking and future-proof development practices

  • Good written and verbal skills for collaborating across teams and lines of business

  • Good documentation skills (i.e. Swagger)

  • Experience with OAuth, OIDC, and SAML

  • Identity Access management integration experience with SPA

  • Some late night and weekend work is required

  • Knowledge of project management techniques and the ability to plan, design, develop, test, implement and maintain system development life cycle segments and phases.

Technical Troubleshooting

  • Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques, and the ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical (hardware, software, application or operational) problems.

Technical Writing/Documentation

  • Knowledge of the technical language and writing approach, and the ability to write paper-based and on-line technical reference documentation (guidelines, standards, procedures, processes, applications, etc.)

Work Experience

Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 2+ years of relevant professional experience. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.

Base Salary: $45,000 - $116,150

Where a person is paid in the compensation range is aligned to their experience and skills. Placement within the compensation range is based on the specific role and the following factors:

  • Higher in range
  • Experience and skills add value above typical requirements of the role

Compensation Range may vary based on Geographic Location

Role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and individual performance.
