Sr. Software Engineer

Huntsville, AL

The Sr Software Engineer will be key a contributor to the design and development of Java-based C2BMC applications and automated tests. You will help generate software design artifacts, implement software changes, support design and code reviews, support software testing and find resolutions of issues arising from software testing.

Required Skills:

Experience in software development of Java-based applications and systems
Hands-on development experience for Java-based applications in a UNIX/Linux platform environment
Experience developing software in a structured, process-based integrated team environment
Use of common software development and management tools such as Clearcase and Eclipse
understanding of standard system engineering design artifacts such as Use Cases and SysML diagram
Experience implementing mathematical algorithms in source code
Working knowledge of Ballistic Missile Defense concepts, and Command and Control (BM/C2) systems, defense communications systems, and the BMDS

Desired Skills:

Command and control system application development
Experience with Software Integration testing
Thorough problem solving skills, including the ability to review performance issues, identify root cause and recommend a solution
working knowledge of MS Office products.

Required Education:

Bachelor degree in software engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or related field from an accredited college with four years professional experience
Security + certification or equivalent

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment
