Our mortgage group currently has an opening for a front-end Software Developer to assume responsibility for the ongoing development and enhancement of our industry-leading software to meet business and risk management needs of current and future customers.
The Software Developer will be part of a growing team, working in a fast-paced dynamic environment. This role will require someone who is hands-on and ready to hit the ground running. The Developer should have the ability to work with business users, internal and external, to understand requirements and create solutions. This must be someone who thrives in an innovative and dynamic environment.
Design, develop, unit test the M-PIRe platform website
Follow established company and department standards and best practices
Work independently and within the team structure
Stay abreast of industry trends and technologies
Create clear documentation
Effectively communicate (verbal and written) with users, management and coworkers
3+ years of software development experience in C#, ASP.NET MVC and SQL Server (2016+)
Experience working in a cloud environment (Azure) preferred
Experience in designing object oriented solutions using Design Patterns
Experience designing and working with n-tier architectures (UI, Business Logic Layer, Data Access Layer) along with some experience with service-oriented architectures (SOA)
Proven analytical skills interpreting and implementing business and functional requirements
Excellent verbal and written communications skills across all organizational levels required
Solid documentation skills
Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment
Ability to quickly learn new concepts and software is necessary
Candidate should be a self-motivated, responsible team-player and exhibit strong collaboration skills
Passionate about building high-quality systems with software implementation best practices
Strong problem solving skills and a desire to learn
Location: This position will be based out of the Milliman office in Brookfield, WI. Applicants must be willing to work onsite in the Milliman office.
Salary: The salary for this position is commensurate with experience and skills.
