Job Description

The Intel Math Kernel Library (Intel MKL) team is looking for a software development engineer to work in the exciting areas of Library Engineering / Systems Programming. This includes the development and maintenance of global Intel MKL library solutions portable across various operating systems and hardware as well as the development of new features and algorithms optimized for Intel and Intel-compatible architectures.

The primary job function is to design, develop and validate high performance mathematical software, additionally you may work directly with companies developing compilers, operating systems, and other software technologies and customers optimizing MKL software usage.

This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Requirements:

Candidate must have a Master's degree in a relevant field: Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related field.

Minimum of 1+ years of experience in the following:

  • C and/or C++ languages

  • Linear algebra

  • Linux or Windows development

Preferred Qualifications:

1+ years of experience with Makefiles and/or scripting languages (like bash, batch, Perl or Python)

1+ years of experience with multithreading/parallel programming, in particular experience with OpenMP and/or MPI.

1+ years experience with low level optimizations for Intel Architecture.
