Position Summary

The selected candidate will provide Level II Software Development support at the Senior level to the Education, Doctrine, and Instruction for Intelligence Efforts (EDIF-IE) contract. This contract provides support to the Armys premier intelligence training institution, the US Army Intelligence Center of Excellence (USAICoE), located at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. This is an exciting opportunity for a successful applicant to provide support working with various internal/external government stakeholders/partners to identify training needs, design, and create instructor led, computer based, and virtual training using cutting-edge technology and innovative solutions.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

What Youll Do

  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, debugs, and implement software code (such as, but not limited to, HTML, CGI, C++, and JavaScript) for web services, applets and applications, web parts, education technologies, interactive learning modules and website capabilities.

  • Responsible for reviewing, planning, and managing software development project timelines and milestones.

  • Determine available developer resources to support project completion.

  • Work with multimedia artists and other members of a project team to develop site concepts, interface designs, and application requirements.

  • Assist with user interface coding within interactive multimedia projects, extending functionality of those projects beyond built-in authoring tool capabilities. Efforts include but are not limited to requirements collection and analysis, applet and application creation, GUI and web design, review for functionality, deployment, and maintenance of web capabilities including web hosted pages and apps, development in an evolving web-based environment, databases, and their instantiations on systems and networks, associated web tools, and web sites.

  • Report to the Learning Ecosystem Architect

  • Attend IPRs and meetings to gather and provide information on assigned projects and area of expertise.

  • May be responsible for developing and accessing documentation in the form of reports, proposals, white papers, and briefings.

  • Ensures product deliverables adhere to ICoE, TRADOC, DOD, and industry standards.

  • Maintain standardized product formats for all design documentation and product development.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years' experience which includes developing and deploying new features to existing products with emphasis on training material. Experience troubleshooting, testing, and maintaining software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality.

  • Demonstrated ability to create efficient and reusable code with extensive test coverage and modern technologies.

  • Demonstrated experience documenting and developing detailed technical specifications, customizations, features, integrations, and software detail.

  • Demonstrated ability and experience developing interactive multimedia applications up to level 3 alone and provide support up to level 4.

  • Experience coding in C# programing language and other languages.

  • Experience and expertise in design and development using the Unity 3D Game Engine.

  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, develop, and support web applications and data integration solutions, while ensuring that software projects meet business requirements, fulfill end-user requirements, and software issues are resolved.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with subject matter experts and end-users on the analysis, design, and testing of web applications and system integrations.

  • Demonstrated ability and experience to develop interactive multimedia applications up to level 4. This includes emulation or virtualization of technology or equipment within a 3D virtual environment.

  • Demonstrated experience maintaining timelines and ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, and to give and receive constructive feedback.

  • Proficient in the use of MS Office products

  • Compliant with DOD 8570 Baseline and Computing Environment (CE) Certification Requirements at the IAT Level 1.

  • Able to meet all requirements to be issued a Common Access Card (CAC) as set forth on the Defense Human Resource Activity website titled, Getting Your Common Access Card (CAC), http://www.cac.mil/common-access-card/getting-your-cac/ (accessed 13 May 2013).

  • United States Citizenship

  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Interim Secret clearance to start, must be able to receive and maintain a Top Secret - Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance within first year of employment.

  • Bachelors degree or higher
  • DOD 8570 Baseline certification at IAT Level II
  • Previous experience at USAICoE
