Job Description:

Molex is looking for highly-motivated Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Electrical Engineering majors to join our Automated Tester Development team as an intern. Interns will work with the Automated Tester Development and Software Solutions Group creating hardware and software solutions to ensure product quality, optimize manufacturing processes, and improve business capabilities throughout our global design and manufacturing network. Interns will have the opportunity to work with cutting edge technologies in a team setting to build real-world engineering skills.

Our Software Developer Intern will be focused on

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Development of hardware/software designs

  • Implementation of system solutions

  • Documentation of solutions

Position Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.

  • Understanding of digital electronics.

  • Programming capabilities in a high level language (e.g. Python, C++, C#, etc.).

  • Understanding and experience with statistics.

  • No sponsorship, OPT, CPT, etc. available for this position.

Your Accountabilities in the Role: * You will manage inquiries from the clients to assist in providing information, resolving technical issues, and ensuring the system's integrity. * You will evaluate the operations through analysis, problem definition, and looking at specified requirements to develop proposals for solutions that are operationally feasible and ensure effectiveness. * You will research, analyze and gather information from end users, industry, systems flow, data usage and other areas to plan, develop, and test software solutions that meet the customer's needs. * You will document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code. * You will prepare and install solutions by designing system specifications, standards, and programming that meet the agreed outcomes. * You will perform system analysis and provide recommendations for changes to client policies and procedures to continuously enhance the operation. Requirements Position Requirements: * Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or any relative degree program preferred; would consider a combination of course work and experience in the field * Experience: 2+ years of Programming, Software Development or related experience. * Certification(s): N/A * Functional Skills: Ability to research, analyze and gather information and intel to develop effective software solutions focused on the goal of the customer, excellent organizational skills with a high attention to detail and a strong ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and due dates; excellent problem-solving skills are also required. * Technology Aptitude/Skills: Experience and knowledge of programming, fundamental knowledge of software design & development as well as the process, documentation, debugging, testing and architecture, with experience using SQL, Microsoft Visual Studio, VB.net, and/or C#.Net. * Language Skills: Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills to provide effective internal and external client support and training. * Leadership/Behaviors: Self-motivated, self-starters who have a background of managing their work/results on their own; requires excellent customer-focus, team work and collaboration. Ability to work in fast paced, high pressure environment and meet tight deadlines is also needed for the role.
