Software Developer


This position is part of a team with a diverse skill set, responsible for improving, researching, analyzing, troubleshooting, and consulting on IT-supported software systems, as well as integrating and developing new and existing software, databases, and reporting solutions in web and/or desktop contexts. Some key languages used are C#, UniBasic, T-SQL, HTML/XML/XSLT, CSS, and Javascript (with emphasis on jQuery and KnockoutJS). Individuals are encouraged to specialize and cross-train. Primary focuses are on Azure DevOps, ERP, CRM, Document Imaging, and Web applications.


This position reports to the Director of Software Development


Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred.


  • Troubleshoot, analyze, and develop:

  • Enterprise software and databases

  • Reports and utilities

  • Interfaces with third party software and systems

  • Facilitate communication with clients, coworkers, and vendors

  • Possess good interpersonal skills

  • Author and maintain documentation

  • Complete assignments according to predefined expectations

  • Two years of experience with software development and one year of experience in general database programming

Required Skills:

  • Microsoft/Apple operating systems, Microsoft Office products, and a specialization in Ellucian Administrative software, report-writing tools or ASP.NET (Web Form and MVC), Git version control system.

VIEW JOBS 3/15/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-06-13T00:00 Administrative Assistant to the Directors, Dept. of Public Service & Dept. of Religion Position Summary: The Administrative Assistant for the Public Service Department and Religion Department assists in overseeing the development, progress, management, and operation of the graduate and undergraduate programs in the School of Service & Leadership (SSL). The Administrative Assistant will develop and manage systems and structures to support the programs. In addition, the assistant will administer and assist in the direct and indirect responsibilities of the Directors of the Department of Public Service, and Department of Religion and other program managers with regard to budgets, faculty, and support services. Reporting Relationships: Directors of Public Service Department, and Religion Department within the School of Service & Leadership (SSL) Education Requirements: College Experience Required, Associate's or Bachelor's Degree Preferred Duties and Responsibilities: * Demonstrate a high degree of teamwork and customer service through collaboration with other support staff, faculty, administrative faculty, and other administrators. * Serve students and faculty with a high degree of efficiency and effectiveness. * Maintain a current knowledge and understanding of the content and course requirements within the academic programs in the Public Service and Religion Departments in SSL. * Monitor the progress of course writing and course revisions within the Department's academic programs. * Manage and maintain calendars and schedules for the Department Directors. * Coordinate the operations of the academic programs and their respective directors. * Exercise independent judgement in providing problem resolution in accordance with established program, school, and college values, policies, and procedures. * Assist the Directors of Public Service and Religion in all aspects pertaining to the management of faculty, curriculum, and new program development research within the department. * Provide coordination with all internal and external entities pertaining to the academic programs within the Departments of Public Service and Religion in SSL. * Maintain up-to-date faculty files in our electronic database (Colleague, WebNow, other). * Gather data for valuation of existing faculty through assessment of End of Course Surveys and course observations. * Assist in the research of resources needed for new program development. * Verify and adjust compromised online resources. * Coordinate the review process for faculty evaluation, faculty hiring, and faculty course assignments. * Create, maintain, and utilize queries and reports needed by staff and administrators. * Gather and maintain accurate records, reports, and database entries as required b the Department Directors. * Assist with any special projects assigned by the Director of the Department, program directors or the Dean. * Other duties as assigned.
