We are currently seeking a Junior/Mid-level Software Developer to contribute to the development of School Nutrition Solutions' web-based eTrition product line.

As a Software Developer you will collaborate directly with the Product Manager and end users to gain a better understanding of their requirements in order to develop products which help them perform their jobs most effectively.

This position is a remote (work from home) position and as such will require better-than-average communication and organizational skills. Some (very little) travel is required: 3-5 trips a year for a few days each once Covid-19 is no longer a factor.

What your impact will be:

  • Work as key member of Research & Development team to analyze and program changes in web-based product suite

  • Maintain development deadlines and provide accurate estimates

  • Analyze and troubleshoot product stability issues reported by clients

  • Utilize programming skills to ensure delivered code meets high standards of quality and reusability

  • Communicate with both internal and external clients to ensure changes that meet requirements

  • Actively participate in code review and knowledge sharing sessions

  • Assist Professional Services/Support staff as required with investigations of technical issues

  • Actively reflect on and improve our processes, such as increased automation, streamlining processes, and refactoring existing code when necessary.

What we are looking for:

  • Passionate and eager to learn

  • 2 + years Web Application Development experience (ASP.NET)

  • Expertise in .NET (C#)

  • Experience in HTML5, JavaScript, CSS

  • Working knowledge in RESTful Web Services

  • Working knowledge in SQL Server

  • Excellent communication skills

What will help make you stand out:

  • Experience with Blazor

  • Experience with Automated Testing (Unit and/or Integration)

  • Familiarity with Azure, Azure DevOps, Jira

  • Experience with Entity Framework Core, .NET core

  • Experience working directly with end-users to understand their needs and industry
