Your Impact:We are seeking a Software Engineer to support its federal client in Northern VA. The ideal candidate:

Provides expertise and direction in the development and/or modification of computer-based scientific, technical, and business software systems. Uses expertise to design develop, code, test, and debug software. May work in one or several areas, such as equipment or software design, engineering evaluation or test, configuration management procedures, statistical analysis and modeling.

Works with users to define existing or new system scope and objectives. Provides analytical support and technical advice during the conceptualization, development, and implementation phases. Plans and schedules new applications systems projects with user, systems software, and computer center operations personnel, including the identification of objectives, time frames, costs, and manpower requirements.

Performs tasks necessary to ensure the identification and documentation of hazards within software systems using various analysis tools and techniques. Reviews and evaluates systems and software for adherence to government or commercial directives, standards, guidelines, and criteria concerning software safety and systems safety. Confirms design mitigations are captured in the design and its documentation and verifies implementation. May perform as a project lead with the responsibility for the instruction, assigning, direction, and monitoring of the performance of assigned systems developers / analyst working on a specific project. #JENGA #divergent Here's what you'll need: -Bachelors and 3 years, or Associate and 7 years; or 7 years' experience ISSA/TS/SCI clearance Experience:

• Designing and developing enterprise applications in a Web environment.

• Developing, creating, and modifying general computer applications software or specialized utility programs.

• Designing software or customizing software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.

• Developing unit and functional test plan-Providing the operations and maintenance of operational systems-Modifying existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance-Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation-Perform or direct revision, repair, or expansion of existing programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements. This can be for new applications development or the transition of legacy applications to the cloud environment.Knowledge of:-Agile Processes and procedures-Computers and electronics -software, including applications and programming-Certified with the specific language, system, or technology required
