Software Developer

curriQūnet is looking for qualified candidates to fill openings on our development team. We are currently looking for a Full Stack Developer to produce scalable software solutions. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team that’s responsible implementation and delivery of client projects within the higher education market. You should be comfortable around both front-end and back-end coding languages, and development frameworks. You must be a team player with a knack for visual design and utility. If you’re also familiar with Agile methodologies, we’d like to meet you.

Responsibilities

• Work in a team environment with primary responsibilities to troubleshoot, test and verify client system configurations are working correctly. Depending on experience this position may advance to software development / engineering activities.
• May be required to develop clean, efficient code based on specifications
• Verify and deploy programs and systems
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software
• Recommend improvements

• Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications
• Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions
• Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
• Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design
• Write technical documentation
• Work with other team members to improve software

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Software Quality Assurance Tester, Software Developer, or similar role
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
• Experience with software design and development in a test-driven environment
• Experience with databases and Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks
• Ability to learn new languages and technologies
• Excellent communication skills
• Resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude
• Attention to detail

• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role
• Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery)
• Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. C#, Java, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js)
• Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Great attention to detail
• Organizational skills
• An analytical mind
• Degree in Computer Science, Statistics or relevant field
