What you will do in the role...

·        Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, extensible, and reliable code.

·        Create and update scalable and reliable environments for systems to exceed demands of our users and processes.

·        Improve and enhance code repositories and continuous integration deployment systems.

·        Constantly improve City Wide’s code base and standards.

·        Listen to users and stakeholders to understand business needs.

·        Provide technical guidance and meaningful ideas to project teams in order to evolve current technology stack and retire legacy platforms & processes.

·        Devise, design, and advocate for solutions to improve business efficiency.

·        Build and maintain custom Web apps for PC and mobile devices used across the City Wide ecosystem.

·        Provide world-class user experience for all user-facing apps.

·        Build and maintain data movement apps and processes, using off-the-shelf ETL solutions and custom code as appropriate.

·        Continuously improve efficiency and efficacy of all systems.

·        Deliver business intelligence across the organization using MS Power BI.

·        Tier 2 support for end users and other IT personnel for customizations within the MS Dynamics environment, particularly MS Dynamics CRM & MS Dynamics Business Central.

·        Create/maintain schemas in MS SQL Server databases.

·        Provide leadership in IT roadmap discussions to set the course for future capabilities.

·        Remain informed and on top of evolution of underlying technologies, particularly in the Azure & Dynamics spaces.

Requirements

·        Bachelor’s Degree (four year college or technical school) or Work Equivalent, Field of Study: Computer Science or Computer Engineering.

·        1-3 years’ experience developing in a professional software environment preferred.

·        Proficient in C# and/or VB.NET, with a good knowledge of their ecosystems

·        Strong knowledge of .NET framework .

·        Experience using popular JS frameworks/libraries in creating responsive Web apps.

·        Strong understanding of object-oriented programming.

·        Skill for writing reusable libraries.

·        Love of trying new ideas/patterns/technologies.

·        Familiar with various design and architectural patterns.

·        Knowledge of concurrency patterns.

·        Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server or other enterprise-scale DBMS.

·        Experience with popular web application frameworks.

·        Knack for writing clean, readable, and easily maintainable code.

·        Understanding of fundamental design principles for building a scalable application.

·        Love of troubleshooting complex problems within tightly integrated systems.

·        Organized approach to solving problems with a mix of long-term projects and short-term patches in keeping with overall business priorities.

·        Experience creating database schemas that represent and support business processes.

·        Experience with Power BI or other enterprise-scale business intelligence platforms a plus.

·        Experience with React a plus
