We're looking for a passionate, skilled and driven Software Developer Associate to join the Technology Shared Services (TSS) Applications team and deliver software solutions to our customers. Our ideal candidate will have experience with multiple programming languages, an understanding of software delivery best practices, software lifecycle concepts, knowledge of the Agile methodology, a good understanding of core Java, and a passion for quality.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating and maintaining scripts to build CI/CD pipelines

  • Assist in installing CI/CD software

  • Assist in troubleshooting CI/CD pipeline errors

  • Assist in implementing CI/CD software

  • Assist in integrating development teams into the CI/CD pipeline

Education

The position requires a Bachelor's degree or Associates degree with 2+years of equivalent experience. Degrees may be Computer Science, CIS, or a related discipline

Required Qualifications

  • Understanding of at least one modern programming language

  • Understanding of databases and CRUD operations

  • Understanding of Linux shell and/or Windows PowerShell

  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Ability to work well as a member of a team

  • Ability to learn quickly with minimal supervision

  • Strong organization and time management skills while working in a rapid software development environment

  • Must be able to identify and learn new technologies quickly

  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills

Preferred

  • Understanding of Agile methods

  • Understanding of software build techniques

  • Good grasp of security concepts as they apply to networks, machines, and software

  • C# and/or Java

  • Sec+ or Network+ certifications

The Software Engineer Advisor will be responsible for the development, administration, and automation of solutions within GDIT ServiceNow environments. The Software Engineer will work with members of the CIO-Technology Shared Services Applications Team, customers, and external vendors to design, implement, test, document, integrate, and automate solutions needed to support the enterprise. Daily activities will include developing solutions within ServiceNow, assisting with the integration of other apps/tools with ServiceNow, system administration, automation, report development, and testing of the product and its sub-modules. Required Proficiency: * Ability to establish, develop, and maintain ServiceNow and integrations with other systems through automation technologies based on customer requirements. * Experience with Agile software development Job Responsibilities: * Responsible for the automation of solutions that will integrate with ServiceNow instances based on customer requirements. * Configure ServiceNow modules to effectively underpin uniquely defined ITIL processes and ITSM workflows. * Import data from existing event monitoring and management tools to make available for use in ServiceNow. * Collaborate with designated points of contact to refine, test, and debug system as needed. * Collaborate with appropriate support teams on system integration efforts. * Ensure availability, reliability, and integrity of ServiceNow system. * Follow established Change Management process for system modification or maintenance. * Design and automate reports that can be auto-generated and easily accessed through ServiceNow. * Effectively engage in all phases of the development lifecycle. Configure and develop core and custom solutions as requested. * Populate tool with foundation data specific to customer organization. * Optimally configure ServiceNow to enable comprehensive reporting. Preferred Experience: * Prior experience establishing instance of ServiceNow both on-premise and in cloud environment.
