As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise.
May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

Oracle is seeking a strong Atlassian Jira and Confluence tools administrator and developer. As a member of our team your responsibilities will include supporting, maintaining, and extending our internal custom applications. You will need to understand end user requirements and determine which can be met using "out of the box" functionality and which would need a custom application build and then to design, build, test and implement it.
On a day-to-day basis, you'll be asked to:
Configure and maintain a suite of developer tools which include Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
Evaluate and manage the usage of our tools add-ons to meet team and business needs
Work with software teams to identify procedural efficiencies, such as with Jira workflows, custom fields, etc.
Architect and document technical solutions that align with product development team needs
Identify and communicate gaps between development teams current and desired end states
Coach and mentor the development teams on tool usage.
Provide project status, progress, and potential delay information to DevOps as well as Development team Managers and team members
Be a trusted support and escalation point for all tool issues
Assist with delivery management processes and enforcement
Provide demos and trainings of all JIRA//Confluence Tools
Ensure systems are stable and available and that user issues are addressed in a timely manner
The ideal candidate has:
Strong knowledge and familiarity with JQL, Linux/Unix, Java
Demonstrable knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, distributed systems, and experience supporting multi-tier web application architectures in a web scale environment
Experience using/extending REST API using Java for Jira and Confluence
3 years of experience administrating Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence)
Working knowledge of either Scrum and Kanban methodologies
Experience extending Atlassian products via code development
Experience directly integrating Atlassian products with other systems
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Solid understanding of application design, including the operational trade-offs of various designs
Solid understanding of Unix/Linux internals
Ability to apply built-in customization and third party add-ons to extend JIRA & Confluence functionality as needed
Extensive experience integrating Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) with non-Atlassian applications using REST API's.
Experience building custom user macros for Confluence.
Experience with Oracle databases.
Knowledge of Single Sign On protocols such as SAML, SAML2
