The person who fills this position will provide software development & cybersecurity expertise to the Precision Fires Rocket and Missile Systems Project Management Office (PMO). Software development activities will include providing engineering expertise for existing products, review of technical documentation, as well as development of tools, prototypes, and proof of concept applications. Cybersecurity activities will include the support the Resource Management Framework (RMF) process, eMass data entry, risk mitigation, authoring policies & procedures, and other cyber activities. Support PM PFRMS Information System Security Manager (ISSM) for all PFRMS products requiring an Authority to Operate (ATO).
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Must be capable of supporting all phases of software lifecycle support; skilled in software development, debugging, unit & system testing, and integration
Must be capable of translating requirements into software updates, implementation, and documentation updates
Support all levels of staff including peers, team members, management and PM PFRMS Customers.
Experience in articulating and executing cyber security and Information Assurance Statement of Work requirements.
Must have knowledge of modern software/system development processes and Army Acquisition, to include AGILE development and use of tools; and how to apply them to software application program development
Must be capable of providing detailed technical support for software development programs with minimal management supervision.
Must be capable of providing technical direction to design and development teams, and monitoring progress and productivity through the use of metrics.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Must be a self-starter who requires minimal supervision.
Knowledge and understanding in RMF NIST 800-53 security controls
Fluent in higher level programming languages such as C, C++, Ada, etc
Knowledge of the Variable Message Format (VMF) MIL-STD 6017
Knowledge and understanding in AGILE development process
Cybersecurity certification such as Security+, CAP, GSLC, etc.
Familiar with MIL-STD-3011 JREAP-C
1-3 years Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS)
