View is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer for employment in its first high-volume manufacturing facility in Olive Branch, MS. The new facility will produce revolutionary electrochromic insulated glass units for use in commercial and residential windows.

The successful candidate will produce automation engineering designs and modifications by identifying project objectives and issues; researching and developing automation engineering concepts and techniques; verifying and validating plans; supporting project implementation. The candidate will also be responsible for determining automation engineering design issues by evaluating current automation equipment and new concepts; studying project objectives; analyzing production requirements; evaluating similar and related automation applications, information technology systems and engineering and mechanical processes; identifying and establishing performance standards.


  • Responsibilities include process control system design, control panel engineering, SCADA, PLC and HMI programming, start-up support of integrated control systems.

  • Requires excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to be applied in electrical design, programming and troubleshooting of process equipment. Experience with Allen-Bradley (ControlLogix, Micrologix) PLCs, PanelView HMIs, Industrial Communication Networks and control panel design is also required. Experience with Siemens or Mitsubishi PLCs a plus

  • Experience with E-Plan, FactoryTalk SE, Wonderware, C#, Servos, and Vision applications is a plus.

  • Candidates need to possess good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of management, clients, and vendors. Candidate should also be self-motivated and capable of working in a project team environment.


  • 5 years experience in automation/controls engineering

  • Design Skills, Analyzing Information , General Math Skills, Verbal Communication, Power Tools, CAD, Attention to Detail, Technical Zeal, Quick Study, Quality Focus

  • Key contributor in development and sustaining of electrochromic processing equipment

  • Ability to think creatively on one's feet to quickly produce and deliver unique solutions to difficult problems

  • Hands-on trouble shooting skills and good problem solving skills required

  • Semiconductor capital equipment/vacuum sputter process equipment experience is a plus

  • Semiconductor metrology equipment/laser scribe equipment/other industrial equipment experience a big plus

  • Experience specifying, integrating, and deploying production equipment, esp. sputter production equipment, highly desired.

  • S. in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering or other STEM related degree. Or, 8 plus years experience in related engineering field required.

VIEW JOBS 1/18/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-04-17T00:00 RESPONSIBILITIES This position provides support within fulfillment center operations, focusing on maintaining, troubleshooting and modifying material handling control systems equipment to ensure operational performance of material handling equipment such as conveyors, sortation systems, scanners, cameras, print and apply systems, and SCADA devices and programs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Maintains, troubleshoots, and modifies software programs for material handling control systems, including PLC/PC controllers and industrial networks such as Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Profibus, motor control systems, servo drives, frequency drives, and electrical distribution systems. Provides first level escalation support for the CST teams. Escalates downtime situations to vendors or headquarters for support to restore equipment operations. Monitors MHE metrics and partners with facilities/operations for system performance issues both with assigned FC and with like systems in similar FC systems. Utilizes FC system assessments to assess material handling system performance. Partners with Facility Operations Leadership, equipment vendors and parts suppliers to plan and coordinate new technology installations. Acts as the technical consultant for capital projects inside the buildings. Communicates technical issues and project timelines with building leadership, operations and the maintenance team. Provides explanations of the production impacts and works closely with operations and engineering to ensure a thorough understanding of impact to systems. Utilizes FC network support resources for guidance and assistance. Performs other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project. Experience with 480V 3-Phase, 110 VAC, and 24VDC systems Ability to interpret and modify mechanical and electrical drawings. CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES None COMMUNICATION SKILLS Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information. FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE Requires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.
