High School or EquivalentJob Description:Provide software architecture administration services for the Air Force DCGS Experimental enclave (DGS-X), Langley AFB, VA. Non-daytime shiftwork required.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sustaining workstation/server Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS)/ Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) operating system SW
- Managing user accounts for workstation/server access; work with the Information Assurance Manager (IAM) and Information Assurance Office (IAO) to ensure proper paperwork is on-hand for the accounts
- Provide day-to-day operational support provisioning accounts with Quest One identity products
- Coordinate and troubleshoot to isolate and diagnose common account problems and determine root cause
- Interfacing with the appropriate higher authority for approval of user accounts and network access
- Creating and managing user directories on the workstations/servers
- Monitoring workstations/server logs for errors and failures and performing appropriate troubleshooting and sustainment
- Sustaining accurate system-wide Configuration Management control
- Work closely with management and client to ensure the appropriate account permissions are provisioned
- Sustaining currency of new technologies and SW upgrades to workstations/servers for familiarity and staying abreast of current technological developments
- Documenting System Administration procedures and instructions
- Maintaining network equipment (including HW and SW)
- Notifying appropriate maintenance control functions in accordance with local procedures prior to and after performing sustainment activities
- Two years experience sustaining workstation/server COTS/GOTS operating system software, monitoring logs for errors and failures and performing related troubleshooting and sustainment
- Two years experience performing core systems administration and accounts management services
- Two years experience maintaining network equipment (including HW/SW)
- DoD 8570 certified, IAT Level II
- Communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Project strong customer focus
