General Purpose:

We are looking for highly skilled, advanced technical experts to be part of a team that is responsible for software development for Radio Modules. You will be involved in writing specifications and design features and functionality for product focusing on all technologies including 5G NR / mMIMO / 4G LTE.

Main Responsibility Area:

Provide technical leadership for the new radio products. Define and defend the software architecture, software design and software requirements.

Provide technical oversite and support to the team. Actively participate in design and code reviews. Actively participate in problem resolution for lab and field issues.

Assessing software quality and developing test tools as necessary. Close cooperation with other project teams and stakeholders from other foreign locations around the world.

Skills & Qualifications:

10+ years of relevant professional experience in the architecture, design, and implementation of LTE network elements

BS or MS in Computer Engineering or equivalent

Experience with embedded real-time system architecture, design, and implementation

Able to read/understand C/C++

Familiar with debugging tools and able to read logs from labs and field installations

Skill with scripting languages

Experience with SW Development processes and practices

Strong experience with Agile Scrum and continuous integration life cycle model

Experience with LTE and system module/radio interactions

Experience with requirements definition and management processes and tools

Able to coach and develop others

Able to present ideas and influence decisions

Excellent technical leadership, communication and collaboration skills

Ability to travel internationally if needed (travel overall expected to be less than 10% of the time),

As a Senior IT Security Architect, you will work to conduct enterprise level security assessments to evaluate Verizon's existing security posture, identify weaknesses and make recommendations. You will help to define, document and promote security standards and policy for the enterprise. The appropriate candidate will manage multiple projects with a degree of impact and complexity that must be carefully controlled to support the internal business unit security requirements. The candidate will also work in conjunction with security stakeholders and IT architects to make decisions and help lead initiatives to ensure timely delivery of security solutions that support IT Security and business objectives. The successful candidate will also manage work that involves coordination with multiple organizations and is the focal point within the group. The candidate will often work with little or no supervision, and will regularly be given high-level directives and allowed to work independently to satisfy the requirements. Candidate's decisions on matters of risk and architectural approach reflect their own deep experience. Responsibilities: * Building security reference security architectures for common IT deployments and hybrid/cloud scenarios. * Assisting enterprise customers with deploying security solutions that meet industry standards such as PCI DSS, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and NIST/DoD frameworks. * Working and thinking strategically about business, product, and technical challenges with a wide range of IT system components including architecture, authentication, connectivity, system hardware and software components, virtualization, cloud computing, and mobile. The security architect will have the ability to understand and suggest changes to system design choices in light of corporate security policy considerations and industry best security practices. * Advanced understanding of IT system and network design, security and topology. Expert understanding of standard LAN/WAN/Cloud technologies. Expert ability to identify risk issues in network designs and communicate with key stakeholders to address the risk and drive a solution. * Writing and modifying corporate-wide security policy and creating communication documents for all levels of understanding (high level to technical). * Using your understanding of techniques and tricks used by hackers to gain entry into corporate networks to recommend appropriate security solutions based on corporate risk tolerance. What we're looking for... You'll need to have: * Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience. * Six or more years of relevant work experience. Even better if you have: * Bachelor's degree in IT or IT Security or related discipline. * Industry certifications such as CISSP or GSEC. * Six or moreyears experience in IT security architecture, compliance and risk management in a technical SME and Leadership capacity in an enterprise environment. * Multiple security and technical certifications in a broad range of technology disciplines. * Experience within the transformation of traditional data center security measures into industry adopted cloud technologies like Amazon Web Services, Azure, etc. * Experience in network security, such as web proxy, reverse proxy, load balancing, IDS/IPS, Firewall, SSL VPN, WAN/LAN, DDOS prevention, wireless and remote connectivity, software development lifecycle and security practices for running applications. * Knowledge of infrastructure security, including windows, Unix/Linux, desktop/laptop, and mobile security, and knowledge on cryptography and PKI. * Experience in security including architecture or security management, user, platform and device authentication, and various levels of access controls and authorization, Enterprise Directories and their integration with other systems in a large, complex environment. 22CyberARCH When you join Verizon...
