We are looking for highly motivated, hands-on Software Architect to augment our Engineering organization as we build the next generation of connected smart home IOT products. You will be a technical go-to person for a collaborative engineering team to architect and continuously improve our connected products from concept ideation to development to mass production. The nature of the position requires the candidate to have excellent communication skills, strong technical and debugging skills, along with a drive to make a difference.

Responsibilities:

  • Translate business/marketing requirements into highly scalable and high performance architectures and software designs incorporating the latest innovations in technologies.

  • Drive requirements gathering and analysis activities such as developing use cases and creating functional requirements specifications for new products and features

  • Closely interact with product management, hardware engineering, software development, test, customer support, and factory.

  • Work directly with software development on the most challenging issues

  • Interface with external technology partners

  • Evaluate third-party software offerings and development kits to make recommendations and drive integration. Participate in RFQ/RFP process. Support prototyping and trystorming activities.

  • Actively identify and execute tasks in feasibility stages for new product development

  • Oversee architecture and design proposals being generated internally and by external teams to ensure technical completeness, correctness, and alignment with company goals

  • Create feature specification and technical design documentation

  • Design and scope/estimate development tasks. Practice and preach software development best practices

  • Agressively manage technical debt. Identifies areas of systematic failures or inefficiencies for improvement and proposes concrete targeted solutions. Be an advocate for end consumer

  • Review development deliverables to ensure architectural correctness

  • Travel required: up to 10% domestic only.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years embedded software development experience with commercial SoC products for high volume, high quality consumer electronics products (covering App, Cloud and Embedded software). 5+ years experience in software design

  • Deep understanding of software engineering principles and strong software architecture.

  • Experience integrating hardware, operating systems and software applications

  • Extensive experience and expertise in the full life cycle development of software and systems

  • Ability to ramp up quickly on both new technologies and existing technologies.

  • Highly focused, with the ability to deliver solid work on tight schedules.

  • Ability to design the low level details with a constant view of the big picture

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Excellent analytical, programming and debugging skills. Thought leader.

  • Strong experience with Linux configuration, device driver integration, C, C++, scripting languages, IP, Wireless communication protocols

  • AWS IOT, BLE, WiFi, MQTT, RESTful API, low power or battery operated devices, SoC bring-up, and bare-metal programming a plus

Education

  • BS electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or equivalent (MS highly preferred).

VIEW JOBS 2/13/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-05-13T00:00 Position Title: Supply Planner Reports to: Supply Planning Manager Location: Aurora, IL Job Summary: This position is responsible for long term supply plan across a defined group of product lines and platforms and preparing a long term (3-24 month) production plan to balance operating objectives with business growth plans. The Supply Planner will provide rough cut capacity plans and PSI level views to enhance business performance and transition plans for new product introduction. The Supply Planner will also be the key resource for system integration and migration to the new SAP IBP environment. Responsibilities: * Maintaining forward PSI level view for 24 months and scenario modeling based on recent developments. * Drive best in class service above business objectives for OTIF, Fill Rate, and working capital. * Active participation in SAP system integration project execution. * Excess and Obsolete (E&O) Reduction YOY, working with supply chain, trade, sales and demand planning to execute goals and objectives defined by business. * Participate in IBP Meeting sessions to bring awareness to any potential Supply constraints to the extended supply chain origination. * Partner with Demand Planning and platform planning team(s) during new product launch process tying all initiates into long term supply plan * Partner with key areas of the business to drive optimal long-term supply chain and inventory goals: * Customer Service on service levels attainment * Operations/Manufacturing/Supply Chain on execution of the Rough-Cut Capacity Plan and space management. * Ensure ABCD SKU classification is updated and being properly deployed within Magic Quadrant for every SKU within portfolio while helping to develop PowerBI tools to enhance planning capabilities including safety stock recommendations. * Monthly responsibilities include identifying and communicating forward looking constraints, active participation in our IBP process. * Help to determine optimal raw material to finished good ratios to support sourcing and buyers to drive down working capital. * Identify savings opportunities and process improvements within the supply chain, that can drive cross-functional productivity The position must interface effectively with wide range of personnel under all situations and be both directive and responsive. Communication skills, interpersonal skills, planning skills, personal organization skills and ability to make rational decisions based on the data are important. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or supply chain related field * 5 plus years working in supply chain or planning role * Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP * Hands on SAP System integration or migration experience * Ability to model scenarios in excel and communicate decision points * Demonstrated ability to plan long term, capacity strained resources * Demonstrated ability to make decisions in fast paced environment * Proficiency in Microsoft suite, PowerPoint, Excel, Access * Ability to listen and communicate appropriately at all levels * Communicating issues cross functionally to customer service, demand, trade, make organization, etc. and appropriately informing leadership.
