Enterprise Data Management and Reporting team provides powerful data exchange solutions that power productivity of teams across Verizon Media. We encourage new ideas and continuously experiment and evaluate new technologies to provide best in class tools for employees worldwide.
You will be responsible for the development of end-to-end features in current and future products, working with business leadership and product managers to build/integrate applications that make engineers more efficient. You have strong development experience with one or more programming languages and enjoy learning new technologies. You have a strong understanding of data exchange, APIs and are passionate about leveraging automation to improve the quality of our services. You have a value delivery and problem solving mindset that complements your superior verbal and written communication skills.
This position is for a full-stack software engineer who will be working on building data exchange for teams across Verizon Media. You will be working on a specific project critical to Verizon Media's need. You will be responsible for:
Designing and implementing features for data exchange systems and integrations to those systems
Ensuring systems are fully CI/CD compliant whether packaged software or custom code
Building and improving applications/systems that are testable, maintainable, extensible and highly efficient
Documenting, testing and ongoing support of enterprise systems
Building and executing automation for performance testing of our services
Recommending modifications to processes and procedures, and contributing to best practices, and implementations
Promoting and soliciting ideas within project teams; may lead certain elements of projects
Undergraduate degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, and 3-5 years of experience related to software development or implementation
Experience working with Unix/Linux environments, application development, large-scale software architecture, database and security software development
Knowledge of software engineering processes, tools, methods, test development, build/deploy automation and support
Interest and ability to learn other coding languages or technology as needed
Designing and operating REST based application
