The RPS Development and Testing Services group is responsible for the analysis, design, coding, testing, troubleshooting, debugging, documentation and deployment of new, and modifications to existing, RPS systems. In addition, the group is also responsible for ensuring these systems are stable, reliable, and perform to the highest standards, both now and in the future. This requires working closely with other technology groups, business partners, and vendors to implement system solutions that are consistent with strategic business and technical objectives.

What you'll do:

As a Software Application Engineer, you will be involved in all phases of the software development lifecycle:

  • Assisting business analysts and users developing requirements for our software systems

  • Creating software application designs that translate user requirements into scalable software systems

  • Developing software applications effectively and efficiently based off of software application design documents

  • Creating and developing unit tests for software applications

  • Implementing and assisting with implementations of software application systems

  • Providing technical support and troubleshooting on a day to day basis for our business application owners

What you have:

  • 3+ years experience successfully developing applications for Windows platforms using Microsoft technologies

  • Experience with C#, ASP.NET, XSLT/XSL-FO, MS SQL, service oriented architecture, and automated unit testing

  • Exposure to modern application design principles

  • Familiarity with Delphi is a bonus

  • Strong communications, teamwork, and problem-solving skills are necessary

  • Ability to interact and communicate well with business partners and technology teams is required

  • Good estimation skills, able to provide reasonable estimates for yourself and others

  • BS or MS in computer science or related technical field

  • Familiarity with 401k disbursements process

  • Agile software development experience is a plus

A Level 2 Application Support Engineer works to troubleshoot issues, answer questions about the company platform and products, and will optimally tune client configurations to resolve client issues. They are also responsible for identifying and reporting technical bugs to Engineering and for providing information that assists investigation and product resolution.<br /> <br /> The ideal candidate is someone who is technically capable, a problem solver, and is motivated by customer success.
