SOD (Segregation of Duties) Analyst

This role will lead the 1LoR (first line of responsibility) related to Segregation of Duties for the U.S.

You will provide subject matter alignment between the Segregation of Duties (SOD) requirements and Risk Control Framework (RCF). This will involve working with colleagues across the United States as well as head office to implement and maintain role-based access controls which assigned permissions to users based on their roles within the organization, ensuring no single individual can access multiple functions that could create a conflict of interest or allow fraudulent activities. This position will report to the Director of Shared Services Operations.

Day to Day

• Work with business stakeholders to review SOD and finalize user roles to comply with Risk Control Framework (RCF).

• Facilitate and drive all discussion related to SOD with business partners, document SOD changes, and coordinate implementation with internal IT production support. Maintain RCF and SoD mitigating control linkage, supporting ongoing development and improvement of SoD-specific controls.

• Perform risk assessments related to systems configurations, user access and SoD-specific controls.

• Identify and prioritize areas of potential risk within systems and propose mitigation strategies.

• Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation and support.

• Facilitate walkthroughs and demonstrations to auditors, explaining the design and effectiveness of internal controls.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of systems processes, controls and configurations to support SOD.

• Create and update process flow diagrams, control matrices and related documentation.

• Establish monitor mechanisms to track changes in systems configurations of user roles and SoD-specific controls.

• Business owner for Acceptance Authorization Proxy (AAP) process - validation and change manager.

• Business owner delegate for monitoring SOD and access control remediation dashboard within SOFY tool.

• Admin responsible to verify attestation master data as part of DLL quarterly review of user accounts and roles for all systems used by U.S. members.

• Generate regular reports on SOD compliance status, identifying and addressing any deviations promptly.

• Work with the Operational Excellence Team and other domains such as Compliance, HR, Finance, Risk, and Commercial to achieve improved system roles & entitlements by standardizing and simplifying role-based security across core operations systems. Target Operating Model.

Essentials

• Experience operating in a control related function (e.g. professional practice, internal audit, 2nd line control function, 1st line control execution)

• 3 years project management and related experience

• Proven experience in understanding systems and how they connect/support established controls

• Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle

• Degree-level educated (or equivalent experience in a professional role)

• Proven ability to solve problems creatively

• Naturally curious

• Able to balance decisions based on evidence and fact

• Perspective - always consider the cost / benefit of risk remediation vs. business development

• Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful

• Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline

• Customer-centric, data-driven, analytical mindset

• Comfortable in fast-paced environments, with different stakeholders at different levels

• Excellent communication skills

Applicable Pay Range

$73,754.24 - $110,631.36

DLL is considering candidates in numerous locations. The pay estimate displayed represents the typical pay range for candidates hired for this position in the desired primary work location. Pay may be adjusted outside the projected range based on geographical differentiation as well as for any other lawful reason. Additional factors that may be used to determine your actual pay include your specific skills, years of relevant experience you possess, and other work-related qualifications. Many candidates may start in the bottom half of the applicable pay range, especially those with less experience or qualification.

This position is subject to the terms of DLL's compensation plans and policies. Further, the position includes all other benefits provided to DLL employees, including healthcare benefits, 401k matching, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses, and all other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.
