The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) provides direct clinical psychosocial therapy to patients, utilizing individual and group therapies, in an outpatient setting; specializes in adult patient populations and must be competent in assessment, diagnosis, treatment, crisis intervention, rapport building and maintains an ethical use of therapeutic techniques. Consults with staff regarding diagnosis, strengths and deficits, as needed or appropriate.
Charts member's treatments and progress in accordance with state regulations and department procedures. Interprets psychiatric treatment to member's family and helps to reduce fear and other attitudes obstructing acceptance of psychiatric care and continuation of treatment, if asked to do so.
This position requires excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills, fosters positive working relationships, and has the ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) represents Sutter Health Bay Area region as an integral part of Interdisciplinary care team.
REQUIRED: Master's in Social Work (MSW) or related field; must have current CA license in Social Work; licensed at least 5 years as Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). At least 5 years experience providing clinical assessments and psychotherapy to clients with diverse clinical presentations, including adults and older adults. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
PREFERRED: previous experience using EPIC electronic medical record.
