Social Worker Senior Care (Prn)

Senior Care Unit is a specialized unit for the care of geriatric patients requiring behavioral health care within the hospital. The Senior Care Center is specifically designed for patients ages 65 and over who have an emotional illness or behavioral symptoms. These can include symptoms of dementia, Alzheimer's, confusion, depression, psychosis, bipolar, schizophrenia and more.

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of 2 years clinical experience. Ability to manage conflict and negotiate during difficult situations.

Self motivated. Must be able to set priorities at all times. Must be very detail oriented and follow-up on everything.

Must be able to work closely with physicians, nurses and other ancillary departments. Abides by "Quality Expectations" with "Service Oriented" attitude. Must demonstrate professional level of conduct, appearance and attendance.

EDUCATION:

The Social Worker shall, at a minimum be a graduate of a CSWE approved masters degree program and hold applicable and current license/certification to practice. ACSW certification is desirable. Education/experience in working with the geriatric population is necessary.
