Requirements / Qualifications

(Depending upon assignment, the social worker will support the essential functions of the job description as appropriate relative to the funding source and as determined by the supervisor.) Working under the direction of the Director of Student Services will provide therapeutic support and facilitate services for students in need with a focus on Foster Youth, English Learners and low socio-economically disadvantaged students and families. Efforts will focus on monitoring attendance, truancy, and progress towards graduation. In addition, the School Social Worker will connect targeted students and families with wrap around physical and mental health services and support as needed. This position shares responsibility for improved student outcomes.
