SHIFT: Shift: 8a - 4p (could be flexible e.g. 0830 -1630 or 0730 - 1530). Evenings &/ or Nights may be avail if HCP interested. No w/e or call unless HCP is interested.

Required Qualifications

Must have Maryland license in hand. Certs required: MSW, LGSW. Typical SW Case Load is around 40 beds but SW doesn't necessarily see all pts in those beds. 5-8 pt contacts/ dy. Pt pop: Hospital wide: cancer, transplant, trauma, emergency injuries, behav health. All ages. Will do: psychosocial evals w/ pt & families, provide brief clinical interventions e.g. supportive counseling, sched & facilitate family mtgs & refer to community agencies for d/c planning. CCS to IVS & NM makes final offer.

No Assists in managing. Food Services Worker II's are assigned to those schools which qualify for a Food Services Manager IV or above. Provides instruction and work assignments for Food Services Worker I. Participates in the preparation, cooking and serving of food and the cleaning of equipment, and facilities. Nature of work involves performing tasks requiring continuous standing, sustained walking, stooping, pushing, carrying, bending, lifting and some exposure to chemical solutions/solvents, minor injury hazards and periods of temperature extremes. Employee(s) must be capable of performing any and all of the listed duties individually or independently which may vary based upon their work location/assignment and available staffing. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No 1. Adheres to all U.S.D.A. guidelines established for the Child Nutrition Program, and AACPS policies and procedures and division memoranda. 2. Maintains optimum standards of food quality through effective use of standardized recipes and cooking procedures. 3. Assists in planning food preparation schedules. 4. Participates in the preparation, cooking and serving of food. 5. Assures that standardized recipes, portion controls and procedures for use of leftovers are followed. 6. Maintains correct temperature of foods to be transported to Galley Schools. Assures quality and quantity of products. 7. Inspects food, supplies and equipment deliveries for quantity and compliance with specifications. 8. Assists with inventories of food, supplies, and equipment as directed. 9. Manages and participates in approved cleaning and safety practices to ensure that sanitary and safe conditions are maintained. Adheres to sanitation standards as outlined in COMAR. 10. Maintains food quality standards (temperature, appearance and taste) from point of preparation through point of service. 11. Prepares and forwards records as required to the Manager. 12. Performs tasks of Food Service Worker I, as assigned. 13. Attends In-Service meetings. 14. Performs other duties, as assigned. Minimum Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. Experience * Two years of Food Services experience as a Worker I, or any equivalent combination of education and work experience in a food service operation. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Ability to maintain harmonious relations with students, school staff, vendors and volunteers. * Considerable knowledge of quantity food preparation; sanitation and safety regulation; methods and procedures of school restaurant operation. * Skill in the care, maintenance, sanitation and operation of equipment. * Ability to perform work requiring sustained physical effort, lifting objects up to 50 lbs. independently and continuous standing. * Ability to perform work requiring periods of temperature extremes * Ability to complete all job responsibilities despite frequent interruptions and without close supervision. * Ability to accept changes in responsibility and incorporate new goals in the restaurant operation. * Possess good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to follow written and verbal directions. * Ability to delegate and to motivate personnel. * Satisfactory score on any test required.
