This Social Worker position is for a vacancy located in our Family Functional Therapy Unit housed in Hammond, Louisiana. This Social Worker position will provide services in the community and/or homes of families.
Traveling throughout Tangipahoa, St. Helena and Livingston Parishes will be required.

This position may be filled as a Probational Appointment or Job Appointment. Applicants may be asked to serve a probationary period of not less than 6 months and not more than 24 months.
This position is in a Career Progression Series and may be filled as either a Social Worker 1, 2, 3 or 4, depending on the applicant's level of experience. Please note that there is only one vacancy to be filled.
Salary may be negotiable depending on the chosen applicant's level of experience. Below is a list of the pay range(s) for the position(s) --Note the entrance rate is a Special Entrance Rate (SER) established for these job titles within this agency:
Social Worker 1: $19.88/hour minimum - $33.08/hour maximum
Social Worker 2: $21.27/hour minimum - $35.40/hour maximum
Social Worker 3: $22.76/hour minimum - $37.88/hour maximum
Social Worker 4: $24.35/hour minimum - $40.53/hour maximum
Note regarding the advertised pay range: The maximum amount listed is the maximum salary a person can make while in this title and NOT the maximum amount we are allowed to pay a new hire.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A master's degree in social work from an accredited school of social work.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:
Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW), Louisiana Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Louisiana Certified Social Worker (CSW) licensure by the Louisiana State Board of Social Work Examiners is required for this job. The CSW is a temporary credential issued after the LA State Board of Social Work Examiners approves an application for LMSW.
An applicant has six months from the date of initial CSW issuance to take the LMSW examination. If a passing score is not achieved, the CSW is required to retake the Masters examination within one year from the date the CSW failed the exam. CSW licensure must be renewed annually and can be held for a maximum of three years from the original date of issue of the CSW.
Permanent status will not be granted in this job title without LMSW or LCSW licensure; Certified Social Worker (CSW) credential will not be accepted for granting permanent status.
NOTE:
The master's degree in social work must be from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, 1701 Duke Street, Suite 200, Alexandria, VA 22314.

Job Distinctions:
Differs from the various Social Service Counselors job series by the presence of therapeutic intervention, case management, and by the requirement for providing a written psycho-social history including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment plans for patients and/or offenders.
Differs from the Social Worker 2 by the absence of independence and more complex caseloads.
This Social Worker position is for a vacancy located in our Family Functional Therapy Unit housed in Hammond, Louisiana. This Social Worker position will provide services in the community and/or homes of families.

This clinician provides Functional Family Therapy-Child Welfare (FFT-CW) for youth and families served by Florida Parishes Human Services Authority that are involved in the criminal justice system, Department of Child and Family Services (DCFS) programs, wraparound services with youth families that are at-risk of child abuse and/or neglect. The clinician will provide services in the community or in the home and rarely in an office setting and are available to work non-traditional and flexible work hours including being available on weekends.
The clinician completes comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, treatment plans, treatment via the FFT-CW model, as well as discharge plans for families as needed. The clinician works on a FFT-CW team with oversight from FFT, LLC in order to provide thorough and comprehensive care, as well as continuity of care, and will prepare and send progress reports to the appropriate social service agencies and referral sources as required. The clinician may also assist in the acquisition of appropriate resources as needed.
Additionally, the clinician attends annual and PRN trainings and webinars to improve competency in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. The clinician also works collaboratively with Peer Support Specialists, Case Management, and Care Coordination for family members with mental health and substance use disorders that may require additional support and coordination of services.
