Turner Public School seeks a Broadfield JH/HS Social Studies educator for the 2024-25 school year. Specifically, we are looking for a highly energetic team player focused on each student's student success and academic achievement.
The ideal candidate will have Montana certification to teach concepts in social studies education and differentiate instruction. We are also willing to consider candidates with other endorsements, such as science and business education. Included below are some of the general expectations of Turner Public School.
TPS has 52 students in grades K-12, with ten teachers and eight classified staff members. Most of our students live on large-scale production farms or ranches, and we have almost no behavioral issues.
Our district operates on a 4-day week and continuously makes Adequate Yearly Progress. The district offers comprehensive educational offerings and multiple co/extra-curricular activities for all students. We provide small class sizes and dual college credit in conjunction with the Montana University System.
The district offers housing that is within walking distance of the school. Turner provides teacher housing/utilities for the first contract year at no cost and only $200 monthly for housing/utilities every year after that.
Our teaching positions allow us to receive the Quality Educator Loan Assistance of up to $3,000, $4,000 & $5,000 over three years. The district has a strong new teacher mentoring program as well.
In a small town like Turner, the things you do daily as an educator matter; you are truly making a difference instead of your work getting lost in the shuffle of a busier place. The ability to have a positive impact on the life of each student is a reality here.
A successful teaching candidate is invested in our students and willing to commit to our school and community. Please do not hesitate to pass this information along to interested students.
