Position Location: We're all about flexibility! This will be a hybrid role based out of our corporate headquarters in Lakeville, MA or our Seaport Boston, MA location with Mondays & Fridays remote.
The Social Strategy Manager serves as a strategic, creative, and collaborative partner to fellow marketing team members and cross functional partners. This position will lead how Ocean Spray interacts and capitalizes on cultural trends to enhance the brand narrative across owned channels (social, website, influencers, email). Serving as the ultimate trend-spotter and content strategist, a primary focus for this role is building authentic, human connections with Ocean Spray consumers. A passionate creative storyteller who has initiative to bring ideas to life at the speed of culture. Not afraid to fail and is willing to make optimizations based on key learnings. Must be an expert with all social channels and has the desire to continually learn in the ever-changing social environment.
A Day in the Life...
Social/Digital Strategy
Works cross-functionally to develop strategies, guidelines, and best practices for Ocean Spray's owned channels
Develops insights based on social media listening - within owned channels and beyond
Identifies key cultural trends that Ocean Spray can authentically capitalize on across owned channels
Social/Digital Creative Execution
Creates quarterly and monthly owned channel briefs and calendars that align brand with brand objectives and creative campaigns, and integrated marketing plans
Manages scheduling of social posts across all channels
Works closely with Ocean Spray's creative design team to execute content for owned channels (for quick turn social content needs may assist with concepts, scripts, and filming of short-form videos)
Builds, executes, and manages Ocean Spray's always-on and campaign-specific influencer programs
Writes paid and organic social copy in brand tone of voice, as needed
Leads community management efforts with Ocean Spray's social channels
Develops FAQ social response library and trainings for consumer response agency, as needed
Manages collaboration with consumer response agency, legal team, and corporate affairs, and PR team lead to ensure questions, comments, and complaints are addressed promptly and accurately
Looks out for culturally relevant trends and proactive community management opportunities
Acts as an integral part of integrated campaign planning for key marketing windows, working closely with agency partners to develop and achieve KPIs
Stays abreast to the ever-changing social landscape, continually learning in-app creator tools, evolving platforms, ways to engage with consumers
Social/Digital Reporting
Establishes goals and KPIs per channel and leads development of quarterly reporting. Makes recommendations and optimizations based on learnings
Works closely with Media Analytics team member to review data relating to paid, owned, and earned channels to build succinct and strategic story for leadership as requested and regular reporting needs
What We Are Looking For:
Required
5+ years of relevant experience, including experience with digital marketing - on either agency or client-side
Expertise with social channels, especially in-app creator tools
Strong MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Strong organizational and project management skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Experience in the Food/Beverage space is a plus
Experience with social management tools like Sprinklr, Bazaarvoice, etc. is a plus
Experience managing influencer programs is a plus
Experience collaborating with internal and external teams is a plus
General understanding of tactics living across marketing ecosystem including paid media, PR, partnerships, and shopper, etc. is a plus
Education:
Bachelor of Arts (Required)
