JOB SUMMARY:

Social Services Designees are responsible for the operations of the Social Services Department, providing for each resident's social, emotional and psychological needs, and the continuing development of the resident's full potential from admission to discharge. Assists in the education regarding aging, Resident Rights, facility services, etc. Participates and contributes as a member of interdepartmental teams (IDT, QAPI), following all established policies and procedures. As a nurse, you positively and directly impact the lives of others by assisting in the administration of quality nursing care for the facility.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Hold current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with applicable state, without restrictions, and/or ability to obtain state-specific license.

  • Post-Secondary education with a bachelor's degree in Social Work and/or related field.

  • Knowledgeable of nursing practices and procedures as well as the applicable state laws, regulations, and guidelines governing nursing functions.

  • Must be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, families, and employees.

  • Must be capable of performing the Essential Functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
