As part of a Career Progression Group, vacancies may be filled from this recruitment as a Social Services Analyst 1 , 2, or 3 depending on the level of  education and experience of the selected applicant(s).

  • Social Services Analyst 1 (pay grade level SS-410) has a minimum salary of $16.06/hourly; $1,284.80/bi-weekly.

  • Social Services Analyst 2 (pay grade level SS-411) has a minimum salary of $17.18/hourly; $1,374.40/bi-weekly.

  • Social Services Analyst 3 (pay grade level SS-413) has a minimum salary of $19.67/hourly; $1,573.60/bi-weekly.

Note regarding the advertised pay range: The advertised maximum amount listed is the maximum salary a person can make while in this title/level over their career and not the maximum amount we are allowed to pay a new hire.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A baccalaureate degree.

SUBSTITUTIONS:

Six years of full-time work experience in any field may be substituted for the required baccalaureate degree.

Candidates without a baccalaureate degree may combine work experience and college credit to substitute for the baccalaureate degree as follows:

A maximum of 120 semester hours may be combined with experience to substitute for the baccalaureate degree.
30 to 59 semester hours credit will substitute for one year of experience towards the baccalaureate degree.

60 to 89 semester hours credit will substitute for two years of experience towards the baccalaureate degree.

90 to 119 semester hours credit will substitute for three years of experience towards the baccalaureate degree.

120 or more semester hours credit will substitute for four years of experience towards the baccalaureate degree.

College credit earned without obtaining a baccalaureate degree may be substituted for a maximum of four years full-time work experience towards the baccalaureate degree. Candidates with 120 or more semester hours of credit, but without a degree, must also have at least two years of full-time work experience to substitute for the baccalaureate degree.

Any college hours or degree must be from an accredited college or university.

NOTE:

An applicant may be required to possess a valid Louisiana driver's license at time of appointment.

To assess, evaluate, and provide social services that are administered by the Department of Children and Family Services.

LEVEL OF WORK:

Entry.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

Close from a higher level supervisory or managerial position.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:

None.

LOCATION OF WORK:

Department of Children and Family Services.

JOB DISTINCTIONS:

Differs from the Social Services Analyst 2 by the presence of less independence and complexity of work.

Credentialed with various health insurances for documentation and billing to provide integrated care management services.

Serves as liaison between health care providers, social services and the community to facilitate access to services.

Provide care management to proactively identify clients in need of additional support.

Manage various payer and client data bases.

Assist with creating training materials for case management courses.

Analyze data and reports obtained from payer.

Coordinate  outpatient services, community-based rehabilitative services and community referrals.

Provides oversight over contracts with monitoring of behavioral health and other quality measures.

Manage electronic health records for all clients, ensuring records are complete.
