PRIMARY PURPOSE: Under the direction of the Social Services Assistance Manager, the SSA Administrative Office Coordinator provides administrative support, quality assurance, and compliance assistance to all SSA Staff as defined below and in the Standard Operating Procedures.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan and Administrative
Compile SSA Coordinator Data including daily number reporting, statistical data, and SNAP Assistance provided and submit to SSA Manager and HHSC in a timely and accurate manner.
Assist in covering the SSA Reception Desk and related tasks and responsibilities as needed.
Maintain SSA administrative equipment at the Cockrell Hill Campus as directed by the Manager of Administrative Services.
Oversee any volunteers utilized to support the SSA office and team, maintain documentation, and delegate appropriate tasks.
Attend meetings, presentations, and trainings as required.
Provide leadership to SSA Administrative staff and volunteers to enable them to provide administrative support to the Social Services Assistance Team.
Maintain an effective and professional working relationship with HHSC.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Five to ten years of experience in the administrative support field required. Knowledge of public benefits and advocacy experience preferred. Comfortable working in low-income communities with diverse populations. Must be self-directed and self-motivated. Must have excellent written and verbal skills, professional appearance and courteous manner, and have a clear and polite phone voice. High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is required.
