Position Overview
The Division of Developmental Disabilities is seeking to hire a position to independently perform complex technical program evaluations of Developmental Disabilities (DD) services for persons with developmental disabilities including both policy and implementation issues. This position functions as a member of a planning unit by providing complex in depth analysis and more input of the Division policy, procedures, and program data and makes recommendations for improvements based on the analysis; plans, coordinates and conducts extensive social policy research and program evaluations of the array of services and supports available to individuals with disabilities; prepares written reports; and provides a facilitative and supportive role in planning workgroups composed of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families, advocates for individuals with disabilities, Independent Service Coordination agencies, providers and other DD stakeholders who are convened to provide advice on policy changes, implementation issues or new initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
Independently performs complex technical program evaluations of Developmental Disabilities (DD) services for persons with developmental disabilities including both policy and implementation issues.

Plans, coordinates, and conducts extensive social policy research and program evaluations of the array of services and supports available to individuals with disabilities.
Prepares written reports.
Provides a facilitative and supportive role in planning workgroups composed of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families, advocates for individuals with disabilities, Independent Service Coordination agencies, providers and other DD stakeholders who are convened to provide advice on policy changes, implementation issues or new initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to the completion of master's degree.
Requires one year of progressively responsible professional experience in community organization, social service work or in program planning and development.
Preferred Qualifications
One (1) year of professional experience performing complex, technical program evaluations of Developmental Disabilities services for persons with developmental disabilities for a public or private organization.
One (1) year of professional experience conducting surveys/reviews in community-based programs and/or analyzing and evaluating community-based developmental disability programs and operations.
One (1) year of professional experience providing technical assistance and guidance with programs and operations.
One (1) year of professional experience exercising a high degree of initiative and independent judgment in reviewing, developing and formulating policies, standards and procedures for extensive portions of the service delivery system.
One (1) year of professional experience conducting interviews with guardians, staff and individuals with disabilities.
One (1) year of professional experience maintaining interpersonal relationships.
