Social Media Specialist, Part-Time

We are looking for an experienced and creative Social Media Specialist to join our team. As a Social Media Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our Social Media strategy to achieve exceptional customer engagement, foster intimacy, drive website traffic, and increase revenue through strategic utilization of the social media marketing roadmap.

The ideal candidate should possess a comprehensive understanding of various social media platforms and how to optimize content for maximum engagement. As a representative of our brand, you will actively participate in relevant conversations, gently promoting our mission, events, and programming, while providing support to existing and potential visitors.

Your expertise in social media marketing will be essential in achieving our goals and establishing strong brand connections. You will work on-site and report to the Guest Relations departments.

Typical Duties

• Collaborate with other departments (animal care, education etc) to manage brand

• Develop, implement and manage our social media strategy

• Create editorial calendars and schedules

• Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action

• Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community

• Measure the success of every social media campaign

• Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies and then incorporating that information

• Use social media marketing tools such as Kontentino

• Work with copywriters and designers to ensure content is informative and appealing

• Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization

• Provide constructive feedback

Experience Required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proven working experience in social media marketing or as a Digital Media Specialist Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), and presentation skills Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, TikTok, Google+ and other social media best practices Familiarity with web design and publishing Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability Critical thinking and problem-solving skills Team player Good time-management skills Great interpersonal and communication skills Minimum Qualifications One (1) year of experience working on a social media campaign recommended.
