Social Media Marketing Intern

Radiance Technologies, an employee-owned prime contractor serving the DoD, national intelligence community, and other government agencies, is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Social Media Marketing Intern to join our dynamic marketing team. In this role, you will assist in developing and executing social media strategies and supporting our marketing initiatives.

Our ideal candidate will be a team player who demonstrates unbridled creativity and strong skills in social media management, communications, and photography/video creation.

Social Media Marketing Intern Responsibilities Include:

• Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling social media content, including posts, graphics, and short videos

• Assist in managing our social media accounts, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram

• Monitor social media metrics and prepare monthly performance reports

• Attend company events and create social media updates

• Support the development of the monthly newsletter

• Assist with video creative needs through planning, executing, and collaborating with the marketing team.

• Assist Radiance University in recording and editing internal event videos.

• Photograph and assist with internal and external events

• Assist with internal collateral print needs

Required Skills:

• Currently enrolled as a university undergraduate or graduate student studying marketing, communications, or a related field

• Strong understanding of social media platforms and their unique features

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Knowledge of grammar usage and editorial style guidelines

• Knowledge of basic graphic design and video editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively gather employee stories and work with technical experts to create compelling content

• Creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with photography and videography, including capturing and editing high-quality images and videos

• Familiarity with photography and videography equipment, such as DSLR cameras, lighting, and audio equipment

• Knowledge of visual storytelling techniques and the ability to create engaging visual content

• Experience with advanced photography and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro)

• Familiarity with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite)
