About the role:
The Social Media Associate will be responsible for nearly all areas related to social media management, content creation and maintenance. This position is located in Seattle and will report to the Digital Marketing Manager. Focus is on developing content for social media posts and maintenance/engagement for all our social media channels. The Social Media Associate will interact with our global development teams to support their activities that elevate the reach and effectiveness of our current marketing efforts. This position touches across the entire organization and has the opportunity to work in conjunction with labels and artists to promote content not just nationally, but globally as well.
You are a marketing professional or recent graduate with internship experience who has developed a strong social media/marketing skillset. You are passionate about music and you know what is going on in the industry. You stay up to date on current trends in music and are familiar with music from all genres and decades. Your knowledge of social media is like second nature and you have a knack for understanding programs/apps where many of our current and potential audiences can be found. You can manage up to drive projects to completion, you are proactive and can handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, with an eagerness to grow your skillset and marketing aptitude.
Own and manage the global social media presence for Napster's core (consumer-facing) and Powered by Napster (partner-facing) brands.
Work closely with the global marketing team to develop scalable social media campaigns for Napster's global and regional social media channels.
Design and develop regular posting schedules for our social media channels to drive higher engagement
Manage interactions with social media users and escalate issues to the CS team for resolution
Develop a follower acquisition strategy for social media channels
Collaborate with the labels and content teams to capture, edit, and promote artist content
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience marketing or related field
0-2 years of experience working in social media marketing
Knowledge of social media channels such as Instagram, Twitter, Spotify, Apple Music, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit, Snapchat, Twitch, etc).
Excellent communication skills
Passion for music and marketing
