Standard Working Hours: Monday
Friday, 8am
5pm (EST) and will be on call for after hours

For those located in Washington State, the following salary range applies: $81,681.60 - $130,690.56.
Minimum Requirements:
A portfolio must be attached to your application to be considered
Bachelor's Level Degree Required
8 years of experience in Public Relations, Communications or related field Required
3 years of leadership experience Required
3 to 5 years of experience as a social media manager or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful social media campaigns Required
Proven experience managing social media accounts for a brand or organization
Proficiencies in social media management tools and analytics tools
Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices
Job Description:
This role involves managing social media efforts for the Sentara Health Plans division. This position's primary focus is optimizing engagement through proactive, innovative, and strategic communication strategies. The Social Media Manager will work towards advancing Sentara Health Plans' reputation as a leading health plan through social media content and curation. The position requires a collaborative, data-driven approach to contribute to an integrated communication team that aims for high reliability and excellent execution.
Position Overview:
Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to increase brand awareness and engagement and drive traffic to our social media platforms.
Creating and curate engaging content across various social media channels, including but not limited to Meta, X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn, and YouTube.
Monitor, analyze, and report on social media performance metrics.
Manage social media advertising campaigns, including budget allocation, targeting, and optimization to maximize ROI.
Foster relationships with influencers and brand ambassadors to amplify our reach and engagement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams within marketing, operations, and clinical to align social media efforts with overall business objectives.
Stay informed about emerging social media platforms and technologies, recommending new approaches and tools to enhance our social media presence.
