Social Media Manager, reporting to the Senior Manager, Social Media, is immersed in social media platforms. He/she thinks globally and offers creative ways to engage a worldwide audience using social media. Our Social Media Manager maintains a thorough understanding of our social audience profiles and guides Otis on how and where to best tell our story. He/she ensures Otis' social content achieves business goals and skillfully translates metrics from social media campaigns to business goals and objectives.
Social Media Manager is a skilled storyteller who excels at humanizing Otis' brand story using social media. Social Media Manager serves as a social media expert, providing counsel and guidance to Otis leaders and colleagues on how to build and maintain an effective and engaging social media presence. Other responsibilities include:
Lead the development and implementation of a social and digital strategy on behalf of Otis senior leaders, as needed
Think globally. Partner with regional and country communicators around the globe to enhance global social strategy, provide counsel and content opportunities to local channel owners, and ultimately ensure consistent, strong brand representation.
Lead community management of our social media channels (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram), including customer service response process and collaboration with customer service colleagues around the world
Work with partner agencies and Otis global teams to develop and manage creative, engaging and results-driven social media campaigns
Develop creative assets such as video for use on social media with measurable results and outcomes in mind; development may include in-house production or partnerships with outside creative agencies
Recommend innovative ways for employees to amplify Otis' story via social media
Support paid social media and influencer campaigns; translate data analytics and reporting into meaningful insights for business leaders and other stakeholders
Align and collaborate with digital/product marketing team to ensure ad content and monitoring result in successful campaigns.
Serve as an expert and advocate of our social media management tool. Articulate what Otis can measure and how metrics and analytics align to business goals and objectives
Research social media trends and recommend ways for Otis to apply to its social channels
Collaborate with PR and Brand teams to amplify Otis news and support PR activities and campaigns. As needed, partner with Internal Communications team to leverage content and messaging and determine appropriate use for external audiences.
The ideal candidate has 7+ years' social media experience
Bachelor's degree required (Focus in marketing/communications preferred)
Candidate may have 5+ years' social media experience with a Master's degree
Experience working with global organizations is preferred

Executive presence - this position will partner with Senior Manager and other leaders to ensure Otis has a robust social media presence
Creative and thoughtful about how to bring Otis' brand story to life using social media tools
Must be digitally savvy and able to keep up with the constantly evolving nature of social media
Understands the 24/7 nature of social media; flexible and willing to monitor social conversations, including outside business hours when potential issues can arise
Sound judgment with a solid understanding of when to proactively escalate issues on social media
Understands the benefits and risks of various social media platforms and provides solid counsel about platform recommendations
An excellent copywriter who quickly and succinctly captures the Otis brand and creates a narrative to tell the company's story
Bias for measurement and reporting. Has a solid understanding of ways to measure social media performance and translate to business goals and objectives
Willingness to learn and to keep up with best practices for social engagement
Flexible and willing to pivot as needed to ensure Otis' social media presence is maximized
Maintains a sense of calm when under pressure, multitasks and manages multiple deadlines and conflicting priorities either individually or as a member of a team
