Overview

We are hiring a Social Media Manager (internally known as Manager of Coporate Communications) in our Valhalla, NY office. The Social Media Manager plans, develops, directs and executes public relations and social media programs in support of the company's wide range of businesses across various fields including healthcare, graphic systems, electronic materials, optical devices, digital imaging and document products. This role is responsible for setting the strategic planning of objectives, goals, KPIs and content across various social media channels. In partnership with marketing and communications colleagues, the individual will plan, develop and execute written and visual content across a variety of social media channels.

This position will additionally support a variety of public relations and communications activities including the development of press releases, communications plans, written materials and internal communications. This individual will work in concert with a variety of business units to support business objectives through marketing communications activities.

In addition to public relations support for individual companies and products, this position initiates and executes the strategic management of various public relations activities, with a heavy emphasis on social media, but it also leverages company resources to further overall company business objectives to maximize both internal and external communication opportunities.

This individual should have experience working with healthcare brands and an understanding of regulations on healthcare communications.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: 1. Proven experience in developing multi-faceted social media campaigns (earned and paid) that align with marketing and communications programs. Responsible for end-to-end management of social media activities including:

  • Build content repository and calendar of content for various social media accounts across LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter for Healthcare and B2B businesses.

  • Prepare monthly calendars in advance to allow time for stakeholder review and approval.

  • Draft copy for social media posts based on audience insights.

  • Act as community manager to build engagement; respond to audience question comments.

  • Conduct ongoing social media monitoring and listening for brand and competitors.

  • Create visual images and graphics for social media usage. Format each for the platform.

  • Develop compelling content that enhances Fujifilm brand perception and relationships with customers.

  • Translate marketing content from print, web, video, to social media platforms and re-purpose for social media audiences.

  • Collaborate with marketing, communications, legal and regulatory to ensure compliance of social media messages

  • Track, measure and analyze performance across all campaigns and make strategic optimizations to achieve and exceed brand and growth KPIs.

2.Create and implement communications plans, while also working with other internal resources for implementation of marketing communications, including:

  • Work collaboratively with marketing and communications peers across multiple business units in North America, to develop/coordinate effective communications programs.

  • Manage posting of press releases to company websites, social media and internal channels.

  • Directing through leadership the following: media relations programs, communications governance, press release development, and communications documents.

  • Provide public relations counsel to executives, including strategic direction and preparation for interviews.

  • Build the strategic plan, gain approvals and implement content development.

  • Evaluate results, and implement any changes for the highest value outcomes.

3.Support internal communications efforts and become a trusted advisor to internal colleagues:

  • Contribute content to employee intranet, employee magazine and other internal channels.

  • Build strong, ongoing internal client relationships, becoming a trusted partner and advisor on all internal communications activities.

Required skills

  • BA or BS in Communications, English, Journalism, Marketing or Public Relations or equivalent work experience preferred. Advanced degree in Communications or MBA a plus

  • 5+ years of experience in a social media role or PR agency.

  • Knowledge of public relations

  • Knowledge of social media platforms and tools

Desired experience

  • Knowledge of Adobe Suite

  • Knowledge of Fujifilm's products and services

The Electronic Imaging Division (EID) markets consumer digital cameras; the Graphic Systems Division supplies products and services to the graphic printing industry; the Optical Devices Division (OD) provides optical lenses for broadcast, cinematography, closed circuit television and binoculars. The Industrial Products Division (IPD) supplies cutting edge digital imaging and conventional film, chemistry and equipment to the NDT industry. The Technical Service Division provides service support to the Graphics and Imaging Division. The Associate Financial Planning Manager (internally known as Financial Planning Manager) will report to the Senior Finance Manager EID/OD/IPD and will work closely with the General Manager IPD and the EID/OD/IPD Division teams.
