Summary:

Armor is seeking a talented and highly-motivated individual to serve as our Social Media Manager on the corporate marketing team. This role is responsible for overseeing all social media channels, promoting content to drive traffic and increase engagement, and integrating proven marketing concepts into the social mix.


Social Media Manager Essential Duties and

Responsibilities:
(Additional duties may be assigned as required)
  • Oversee and manage social media channels such as Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and Google+

  • Promote engaging content across all social media channels

  • Approve daily content for social media platforms

  • Manage development of creative assets across social media (e.g., Facebook timeline cover, profile pics, thumbnails, infographics, ads, Twitter profile, etc)

  • Develop social media dashboard and consistently report on social media analytics

  • Build and implement tactful paid social campaigns that align with the team's greater marketing efforts

  • Analyze statistics to identify areas of improvement and opportunity

  • Think outside the box to develop dynamic strategies that increase followers and targets new customers while keeping them consistently engaged

  • Be able to create content in the Armor voice with excellent knowledge in communications principles with a strong attention to detail

  • Monitor, moderate, interact and answer customer concerns on various social media platforms as needed

  • Collaborate with internal teams to mitigate any public support concerns

Required Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the various audience types and best practices in social to optimize engagement and traffic

  • Excellent written and editorial skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Familiarity with popular social media platforms (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, etc.)

  • Teamwork-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment that is constantly changing and evolving

  • Strong communication skills; oral and written

  • Ability to multi-task and stay organized

  • Proficiency in AP style

  • Open to feedback and collaboration from management and others throughout the organization

  • Innovative with willingness to offer new ideas

Education And/Or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, marketing or related discipline required
  • 3 to 5 years of social media experience

The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. The work environment may be in either an office setting, at the company's data center, or at a third-party location for training.

The Social Media Activation and Content Manager is a student of pop culture who push creative boundaries to generate, optimized, shareable, compelling, on trend, effective brand storytelling content that connects with Metro by T-Mobile audiences based on consumer's narratives, across Metro's presence on digital channels and social properties. This position needs to work cross-functionally with stakeholders across the External Communications team, as well as the entire enterprise, to help achieve agreement and alignment on messages being communicated externally. Success will be measured through increases in brand website traffic, brand social conversation, brand and product engagement. Responsibilities Responsibilities Requires competency in customer focus, change & innovation, strategic thinking, relationship building & influencing, talent management, results focus and inspirational leadership. * Participates in the strategy, development and management of social media campaign, activation, and influencer/creators' programs, in order to build Metro's visibility, credibility and brand. Stays current with industry-related topics, social media trends and incorporates into strategy as appropriate to improve consumer experience as well as digital marketing effectiveness. * Partner with the sponsorships team to develop and execute activation plans of select sponsorship properties and key partnerships across social media sites (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, etc.) * Regularly updates and maintains engaging and shareable branded content on social media sites (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, etc.) on an "up to" daily basis to keep content current/relevant. Acts as brand steward ensuring Metro is represented consistently from a visual and messaging perspective. * Consults with cross-functional teams who are seeking ways to integrate social media within their programs; provide guidance, expert advice and a strategy that fits within overall social strategy. * Collaborate with paid media team to ensure brand and channel strategy alignment * Develops metrics, dashboards and ROI for participation in social media sites, influencers/creators, user generated content, etc into branded websites. * Helps to manages social media outreach in times of crisis, and for ongoing issues management, in concert with the issues management and business communications for operational areas and related support functions. Protects and promotes Metro's reputation through and on social media. Qualifications Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field is required. * 2-4 years of social media experience with brand and traffic building focus. * 2-4 years of Web interaction design, best practices in user experience, and best practices in content optimization within web.
