We are looking for a seasoned social media manager with experience in consumer brand social marketing for a full time position. In this role, you will work across the organization to support large-scale, social marketing campaigns that drive business objectives. You will be responsible for significant parts of these campaigns, partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver results, and maintain a pulse on campaign performance to optimize plans. The ideal candidate would have impeccable attention to detail, a strong history of developing and managing socially innovative campaigns that drive brand results, experience developing & executing social marketing strategies to meet business and campaign goals, experience executing social paid media strategies, and superb collaboration skills.

This position sits in the Brand, Communications and Social Impact (BCS) team.

Responsibilities:

  • Brand Campaign Planning and Execution

  • Campaign Strategy Execution: Support Senior Manager of Social Marketing in working with Social Marketing team, cross-functional partners, and external agencies to plan, execute, and support social media strategies as part of larger consumer-facing campaigns. Includes supporting the development of overarching campaign strategy, tactical planning, and social copywriting & editing.

  • Social Data & Insights: Work with Senior Manager, Paid/Reporting Social Lead and partner agencies to develop appropriate KPIs, monitor performance, optimize content and distribution in real time, analyze social data, and turn insights into action.

  • Partner closely with cross functional internal teams including Brand, Creative, Digital Media, Communications, Data Science, Product, and more to ensure campaigns meet marketing objectives.

  • Daily Social Content

  • Manage LinkedIn's corporate social channels' daily content calendar, working with internal and external partners to bring daily content to life to engage and grow an activity community of professionals. This includes planning and creative development of daily, always-on content that supports larger brand objectives, editorial calendar management, approval management, publishing, and management of systems & tools associated with this function.

  • Works in partnership with Paid & Reporting Lead to execute paid strategy to support daily content, and deliver regular reports on daily content metrics, including development of data-based, actionable insights to improve content performance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years' experience in social media marketing

  • Bachelor's degree or higher

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Thrives on collaboration, excited by good creative, and inspired by smart strategy

  • Have a strong grasp of social media space and trends

  • A keen eye for detail and appreciation of great design and copywriting

  • Previous professional examples of content creation required; blogging, social copy, etc.

  • Experience working with a creative partner or partners

  • Strong results orientation in dynamic, high-growth, fast paced environment with proven track record of delivering on projects with tight deadlines and cross-functional dependencies

  • Strong analytical skills and proven record of measuring and analyzing results

  • Quick learner who has the ability to solve problems independently

  • Deep knowledge of social platforms, social publishing tools, and paid social budgeting

  • Ability to identify and act on relevant trends, and how they map to business goals, that could be a fit for brand/social activations

  • Ability to work within tight deadlines, adjust to changes in priorities, and balance short-term needs with long-term strategic initiatives

  • Superior organization and project management skills with ability to meet tight deadlines and adapt plans through change

This role will be based where LinkedIn has an office: San Francisco, Sunnyvale, New York City, Chicago, Detroit, or Omaha, depending on which location the applicant chosen for the role is currently residing.

Create and share out weekly performance reporting, including with senior leadership What We Value * 4-8 years of experience in a marketing role with some years in social media or community. Marketing experience in tech preferred * First class writing and editing ability – you produce engaging, accurate copy * A passionate customer advocate.
