Snag is looking for a smart, data-driven social media guru, who understands the power of storytelling, to lead Snag's social media efforts. The Social Media Manager will build Snag's brand and social media presence by developing content and campaigns that engage the millions of hourly workers who use the Snag platform, telling their stories, and helping others understand how Snag can help them find fulfilling hourly work.
This individual will be charged with leading the strategy, ideation, and execution of all brand social content. Partnering closely with key stakeholders, including the segment marketing and brand marketing teams, the Social Media Manager will develop a differentiated brand platform strategy to implement across earned media channels. This role is responsible for leading the charge of tightly integrated social and influencer strategies that drive buzz and engagement.
As our Social Media Manager, you will be collectively responsible for creating a digital presence for the Snag brand, building communities for our best and most loyal workers, activating a robust influencer program, and creating buzzworthy brand campaigns and moments.
This role may be based in either our Arlington or Richmond, VA office.
What We'll Expect:
Lead development of content that engages Snag's existing users and build brand awareness of Snag
Work with PR and Paid Social to create integrated campaigns and amplify key messages
Act as Snag's 'voice' across social mediaengage in conversations, mediate discussions, and create content to spark dialogue
Report out on campaign performance and progress against goals
Effectively translate social sentiment/listening
Define Snag's consumer facing social media strategy including target audience(s), channels, key messages, campaigns, budget, and goals
Define Snag's influencer strategy to ensure that activities are aligned with audience data, and identify appropriate influencers based on aligned audience insights
Partner with PR and develop social care response and community management teams
Develop quarterly social media testing plan across channels
Work with PR and Brand to develop an integrated, evergreen social media / editorial calendar
Manage monitoring of social platforms and communication on a daily basis
Manage Snag's social media presence across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter
Build out and oversee Snag's influencer marketing relationships and activities
Ensure social media activities are aligned with Snag's brand, voice, and tone
Be willing to be on call off hours to escalate potential social media crises or chatter
What You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in journalism, public relations, advertising, marketing communications or related strongly preferred; 4+ years professional experience in social media and/or content marketing required
Deep knowledge of key social media channels such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter as well as social media management tools such as Hootsuite
Successful track record working in a cross functional organization
Intellectually curious with a desire to look for new ways to doing things
Creative thinker who understands the power of storytelling
Can do attitude with willingness to roll-up your sleeves to get things done
Strong drive to achieve results
