POSITION TITLE: Social Media High School Intern

DEPARTMENT: Marketing

POSITION STATUS: Part-time (Temporary)

POSITION REPORTS TO: Social Media Specialist

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Social Media Specialist the Social Media High School Intern will collaborate regularly with the Social Media Specialist and Saint Francis student team to plan, record and compile videos that will engage USF's student community. This is a temporary, non-benefitted position.

Major Responsibilities/Activities

• Collaborate regularly and during weekly meetings to share ideas and coordinate content creation by brainstorming ideas, research competitors and source new trends to consider.

• Assist with recording and editing content as needed and compile clips into finished videos through the Instagram and TikTok apps, along with editing software such as CapCut or Adobe Premier Pro as necessary.

• Post to platforms with provided captions and hashtag strategy.

• Assist with various day to day tasks like data entry, hanging flyers and industry research.

• Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Must be a current high school junior or senior student actively working toward completing a high school diploma.

Experience

• Must have strong knowledge of TikTok, Instagram and video marketing mediums.

• Content creation and video editing skills including sourcing audio and adding video text captions preferred.

• Ability to positively represent the University of Saint Francis and its values through social media.

• Able to work independently and within teams as needed.

• Able to meet deadlines and follow content calendar posting schedules.
