Position Summary

We're hiring a Social Media Content Specialist to join the Marketing team and help us elevate the NU brand to new heights. This is a 1.0 FTE position.

Engage Our Community: Develop content that fosters loyalty and support from alumni, parents, and donors. Stay ahead of social media trends to ensure our content is fresh, relevant, and impactful.
Lead the Social Media Calendar: Manage our social media calendar, ensuring a unified and strategic approach across all platforms. Lead our Social Media Committee to streamline efforts and amplify our messaging.
Stay Ahead of the Trends: Conduct competitive reviews, utilize knowledge of current trends, and provide insights to improve our social media presence. Mentor interns and student workers to help them grow and contribute to our mission.
Education/Experience/Skills
What We're Looking For:
A solid foundation of social media platforms and trends with a constant desire to learn and grow.
Proven experience as a videographer with a creative and technical edge.
Strong understanding of camera operation, lighting, and audio recording.
Proficiency in video editing software (Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.).
Familiarity with photo editing and graphic development software (Photoshop, Lightroom, Adobe Illustrator).
A creative communicator who brings ideas to life in imaginative ways.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt and refine plans.
A team player who thrives on feedback and collaboration.
A passion for Jesus, students, and an ability to assume the best in others.
Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor.
Working Environment
Work is generally performed indoors in a typical office setting.
Some weekend/evening work required.
Travel, including overnight travel, may be required.
Position works with strictly confidential information.
Requires work in outdoor weather conditions, including wet, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
Frequently required to be in front of a computer screen for long periods of time.
Physical Demands
The functions are usually performed while standing, but may involve some amount of time sitting, stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching, lifting (max. of 40 lbs.), walking, carrying, reaching, stretching, climbing, perform repetitive motions of the hands or wrists and other movements. The abilities of seeing, hearing and speaking are also required.
Compensation
Based on education and experience, the compensation range starts at $19.50/hour to a median of $20.70/hour
