Social Media & Content Creator Coordinator - Distinctive Resorts
The Social Media/Content Creator Coordinator manages the social media accounts and content creation of all Distinctive Resort properties - providing content calendar management, content creation, photography, and videography. Open to internships, or regular part-time employment.
Essential Functions of the job:
Create fun, exciting, innovative, and engaging content for social media posts; including graphics, videos, and written captions
Develop photo and video content for each properties' restaurant, spa, hotel offerings, events, and strategic initiatives
Creating, writing, recording, and scheduling all social media posts including 1 post daily, 3-5 stories daily, and 1-2 reels weekly for each property
Assist with management of the content calendar in conjunction with the department's campaign timeline, seeking out local happenings in the community
Engage with our audience on social media; Respond to comments and messages on social media platforms in a timely manner
Analyze social media data and generate reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement
Collaborate with marketing team to develop social media campaigns, promotions, collaborations, and giveaways
Helps coordinate media/influencers and content creator requests for all properties
Work collaboratively with Marketing Team and Property Teams to manage and execute photography schedule onsite for all 3 properties
Follow calendar and creative briefs from Marketing and Property Teams to source content, communicate additional content needs, and provide all graphics for IG stories
Update content strategy at least every 2 months to keep stories visually fresh and engaging
Performs other duties as assigned by manager
Minimum 6-month term, must be able to work during summer and winter breaks
Onsite work required, 20-30 hours per week
Additional Job Duties:
Occasional holidays, weekend, and evenings to capture video and photos of specific events and initiatives
Must be able to travel/drive between 3 properties in Pismo Beach and Avila Beach; Must have reliable vehicle transportation to travel between properties
Education, Experience, Skills:
High school diploma
1-2 years related experience (experience can be educational, voluntary, or personal)
Skilled on Canva, Social Media platforms, and CapCut
Working knowledge of guest services in a luxury hotel setting.
Excellent command of English language.
Ability to multitask and work in mentally demanding situations
Ability to meet quick deadlines
Curious and creative thinker with a solutions-oriented, problem-solver mentality
Strong storytelling skills and expert written and verbal communication skills to craft engaging and effective social media content
Understanding of photography, videography, and editing for social media
Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees
Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and juggle multiple projects at one time.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand continuously for the duration of the shift (six or more hours).
Ability to lift small packages (not to exceed 50 pounds).
Be able to stretch, bend, bend and lift frequently up to 40 pounds in weight.
Ability to work in stressful situations.
