Social And Behavioral Scientist Ii/Principal Investigator

The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) has a potential need for a Social and Behavioral Scientist II/Principal Investigator to support our government customer located in Silver Spring, MD.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conducts research and development activities in support of behavioral health efforts for the military.

• Responsible for designing and conducting experiments and program evaluations, analyzing quantitative and qualitative data, and writing technical reports and manuscripts.

• Expected to travel to military installations for data collections.

• Expected to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and co-workers, assist with implementation of initiatives, and provide consultation as needed.

• Takes the lead on projects and functions as a principal investigator and is accountable for the execution of protocols.

• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

Preferred: a doctoral degree in Behavioral Science or related field

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Knowledge of research design, statistical software packages, and proposal writing.

• Knowledge of writing curriculum related to psychological resilience and generating training modules for military audiences.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of five plus (5+) years of experience in Behavioral Science or related field.

REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:

• Must be U.S. Citizen

• Must pass Tier II/NACI background check
